What are the functional nano coatings for textile?
The addition of nano particles can improve the performance of traditional coatings or prepare new functional nano coatings. At present, the research focus of nano coatings is mainly on the latter. The new functional nano coating can give textiles good functionality, and it is widely used in textile printing and dyeing.
Nano coating for heat insulation and temperature reduction
Thermal insulation textiles can effectively alleviate people's discomfort caused by long-term continuous sunlight or high temperature environment, and form a better protective effect on human body. Nano thermal insulation coating is the most common method to prepare thermal insulation textiles. Functional nano coating can effectively improve the thermal insulation and cooling performance of textiles.
Nano waterproof coating

The preparation of waterproof fabric is usually to add waterproof coating on the surface of the fabric. The excellent waterproof characteristics of the coating give the fabric waterproof function, but the waterproof performance of the coating fabric made by the traditional waterproof coating is not stable and the durability is poor. If the fabric is in a humid climate for a long time (such as outdoor walking in rainy days for a long time), it is very important to ensure the excellent and durable waterproof performance of the fabric. The combination of nano materials and coating makes the waterproof coating have some improvement in the waterproof performance and durability.
Nano antibacterial coating

At present, the research and application of the more mature nano antibacterial coating is mainly nano-TiO2 coating. Its antibacterial mechanism is to use the active oxygen and free radicals with high reaction activity produced by the photocatalytic oxidation characteristics of nano-TiO2 to kill or inhibit the growth of microorganisms, so as to achieve the anti-bacterial effect. Xu Ruifen and other nano TiO2 dispersed after surface treatment in the styrene acrylic emulsion to prepare antibacterial coating and test the antibacterial effect. The results showed that the killing rate of the antibacterial coating to Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis reached over 99%, which had strong bactericidal effect and lasting antibacterial effect.
Similarly, under light conditions, nano ZnO can decompose into electron hole pairs, which can combine with oxygen or water in the air to produce living oxygen and free radicals and kill most bacteria and viruses.
Nano coating ink for inkjet printing
Ink jet printing is a kind of non-contact, dot matrix, clean and environmental friendly textile printing process. The dye ink used in digital ink jet printing of textiles has poor light fastness, long production cycle and environmental pollution, so it is difficult to promote its application. Compared with dye ink, coating ink has the advantages of strong universality, simple process, no floating color and more environmental protection. However, at present, the performance and stability of coating ink for ink-jet printing of domestic textiles are poor, and the water washing and wet friction resistance of printed fabrics are deficient, which seriously hinder the wide spread of coating ink-jet printing technology.
