Yarn classification

Filament yarn is a bundle made of filaments (such as natural silk, chemical filament or man-made yarn), mainly including polyester filament, viscose filament, nylon filament, etc.

Yarns are classified according to the varieties of raw materials

1、 Pure yarn:

Pure spinning yarn is composed of the same kind of fiber, such as pure cotton yarn, wool yarn, viscose fiber yarn, acrylic fiber yarn, polyester yarn, nylon yarn, etc.

2、 Blended yarn:

Blended or twisted yarns are yarns composed of two or more fibers, such as polyester / cotton blended yarn, wool / polyester blended yarn, wool / nitrile blended yarn, polyester / viscose / nitrile blended yarn, silk / cotton yarn, etc. The short fiber yarn blended with two or more staple fibers is called blended yarn, while the yarn made of two or more filament yarns (such as twisting) is called blended yarn.

Common nouns
